DJ DAKOTA QUINCY aka "Quincy"

2016 AQHA Grey Gelding HIP #023 DJ DAKOTA QUINCY Bidding Page Info

Quincy is a big boned, deep cinching young gelding that is as safe and gentle as you can make a young horse. He has that want to please attitude & disposition that makes him love people and people love him.

He’s as pretty as they come and built to last, as a coming 4-year-old he stands 15.2 and close to 1300# and still filling out. Quincy has been ridden and packed all over the mountains of NW WY and can haul just about anyone to the top of the ridge and will go anywhere you point him. Crossing rivers, bridges and encountering moose & grizzlies on the trail, nothing seems to get this young horse too excited. When you get back to camp just hobble him and turn him out.

We rate him as a #3 for disposition only because of his age, he will most likely mature to a #1 bomb proof horse in time. Quincy is very smooth moving and could make a very high caliber heading horse, we’ll be team sorting and roping the Heel-O-Matic on him this winter. There is no nonsense in this young gelding, he stands quiet, easy to catch, saddle, bridle, load, shoe and we guarantee him 100% sound.

If you are looking for an extremely easy on the eyes grey gelding that is gentle and has a big future ahead of him – you are going to want to talk to Bill about Quincy @ 307-272-7907, Follow Quincy on FB - Oliver Horses, Cody Wyoming.

EG KROGS NOUGAT aka "Drifter"

2015 AQHA Gelding HIP #067 EG KROGS NOUGAT Bidding Page Info

This young and gentle Driftwood bred gelding is coming 5 years old, 15H, 1150 lbs., has been ridden and packed in the mountains, worked on the ranch, been introduced to town and has handled anything we've thrown at him like an old pro. He is as Black as the ace of spades and built like one should be with a long thick mane and tail. We rate him as a number three for disposition only because of his young age. He rides sane and calm every time with no issues or nonsense and should work for most level of riders.

We used him last summer in several of our clinics, teenagers and riders at different levels all got along with him great. He was packed and rode all over the famed Thoroughfare region and Shoshone NF last summer/fall season and will handle all the rivers, down timber and dangers on the trail. We will be team sorting and roping the Heel-O-Matic on him this winter.

Drifter would also make a very nice heel or calf roping horse and is well on his way to be an exceptional ranch gelding. He is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, shoe and load. He is an easy keeper, gets along well with others and will work anywhere you put him in a pack string. He is hobble broke and stays around camp good at night and will continue to fill out as he matures. He's never offered to buck and rides the same every day even with time off and we guarantee him 100% sound.

We will be filming and uploading his video soon, please call Bill at 307-272-7907 with any questions on this nice young gelding.

Hotrodders Two Hat aka "Cowboy"

2012 Sorrel Gelding | AQHA # 5477566

NOT Available until Fall 2020.  Cowboy is 2012 Sorrel Gelding, 15H tall and about 1150#, with LUCKY TWO HAT, HOTRODDIN COWBOY, double bred ZAN PARR BAR and PITZER Ranch breeding in his pedigree this is truly an authentic performance horse prospect. Cowboy is a pleasure to be around, not cinchy, never offered to buck with an abundance of personality.

He's has been on the ranch since he was a 2-year-old and has been Jody's, go-to-horse for the past 5 years.  He has carried her safely for miles hunting and trail riding and taken great care of her. Always the one at the gate and ready to go to work, he has the kind of forward motion that every working ranch gelding should have and never ceases to leave you laughing when you least expect it.

We have flagged, driven and started colts on Cowboy for the past three years, he will log and pull from the horn and is well started with a rope. This is a very responsive and sensitive horse that will really ride around between the bridle reins. Good to catch, bathe, load and shoe, good to hobble and will picket out in the mountains by a hind foot. He’s made many trips to the North Absaroka and Washakie Wilderness riding, leading pack strings and hunting.

Cowboy can do it all but should really make an outstanding break-away, calf, heel, or polo horse. Don’t be deceived by his size, this horse has all the heart, try and horse power that you could ever ask for. He has an exceptionally smooth, walk-a-hole in the wind, ground covering walk and will go all day long for you. He’s gathered and trailed cattle all over our state and BLM leases and will travel out alone without any issues.

We are in the business of bringing up young horses the right way and he’s been in good hands his entire life. We rate him as a number 3 for disposition because of his athleticism, forward motion and get it done approach to ranch work.

Roosters Dandy Bar aka "Dandy"

2014 Bay Gelding | AQHA # 5605243

NOT Available until Fall 2020.  Dandy is a 2014 - AQHA Bay Gelding.  He is 15.1H tall and weighs about 1200#.  With GALLO DEL CELIO on his papers and double bred ZAN PARR BAR this horse has a terrific mix of cow and speed in his pedigree that everyone looks for.

This has been Bill’s favorite go-to-horse for the past 2 years, he’s as touch-button and ready-to-ride as they come. Dandy has been on our ranch since he was a 2-year-old and we brought him along nice and slow, never pushed too hard but exposed to a lot. He is well started with handling a rope, logs and pulls from the horn, been ridden on mountain trails in the Absaroka Mountains, trailed and gathered cattle, good to picket by a hind foot, will hobble, high line and pack. He’s not cinchy, there’s no nonsense or bad habits in this horse!

He’s a very safe, sure footed, and sensible horse with a great mind, disposition and a pleasure to be around. He has the potential to be an all-around horse as a head horse or barrel horse, with the mind to handle all the ranch work then head out on a mountain trail to help drag dinner home.

This gelding, with his young age and athleticism, is rated as a #3, but we haven’t found much that ever bothers this gelding. He's going to be a great arena prospect, performance or working ranch horse and possibly a horse that could compete on the polo field.

He was started in a snaffle bit using natural horsemanship, also rides well in a light transition bit or bosal and will now carry a bit and ride smoothly between the bridle reins. Moves softly off foot and leg pressure, is very light and responsive. Lopes nice collected circles in both leads, good lateral and vertical flexation. He has all the heart and try you could ever ask for in a horse along with a mind that will be able to handle a lot of pressure.

This is a horse that travels out smooth, with a real ground covering walk. They won the west on this type of black footed, kind eyed, deep cinching, bay gelding. He’s one that will never quit and can do it all with the best part of his life still ahead of him.
