Beginner Roping Clinic - CODY, WY - FULL
March 16th & 17th, 2024 at the W Arena - Join Bill for a two day beginner roping clinic. Introduce you and your horse to roping! Learn the proper way to throw a head loop (calf), rope horns, or heels. If your horse is new to roping, he will also cover the proper way to start a horse with roping and tracking the dummy. $400/rider, $35/day per person to audit. Two Day Horsemanship Clinic:
Developing a Finished Bridle Horse through the use of Bits, Spurs and Bosals with Bill Oliver
This two-Day Horsemanship Clinic will cover instruction on history, proper use and progression of different bits, bosals, spurs and riding skills designed to put all the equipment and instruction into practical use with the finished bridle horse in mind.
Bill will talk about the misunderstandings some may have about these tools and teach how each can be used to help each horse and rider build a better partnership. Riding exercises will also focus on using legs, feet, and spurs to more effectively communicate with your horse.
$475/Participant - $35/day audit fee

Join Bill and his team for a unique four (4) day colt starting clinic at our ranch in Cody, Wyoming. See first-hand how Bill uses the natural way horses communicate to gain their trust and acceptance of saddle and riders for the first time. All colts will be unstarted and halter broke.

Bill, Jody, and their team will walk participants and their colts through the process of starting them under saddle using natural horsemanship-based techniques. Colts will go from barely halter broke to riding out with a snaffle by the end of the 4-day clinic. This clinic is for riders of all skill levels and horses not started ages 2-3 years old.

NILE Colt Start Qualifier - BILLINGS, MT
June 20-23, 2024 - Partnered with the NILE Equine Program
Bill, Jody, and their team will walk NILE youth participants and their colts through the process of starting them under saddle using natural horsemanship-based techniques. Colts will go from barely halter broke to riding out with a snaffle by the end of the 4-day clinic. This clinic is for NILE Colt Classic participant riders ages 14-21, and their horses not started ages 2-3 years old. Participants will return to showcase their projects at the October NILE Colt Classic, Metra Park, Billings, MT. If you are interested in sponsoring a youth, please contact us.
